(No supplies needed) This is a description and supply list from Jinny for the Saturday class - Saturday April 26thDiamonds Galore and MoreThe 60 degree diamond is one of the most versatile shapes to work with in patchwork. This class covers design, color and hand piecing techniques and explores the myriad of ways this versatile shape can be put together to create spectacular quilts. Students need:Fabrics in a color scheme of your choice. To give you a better idea of the type and amount of fabrics to bring, I have put together some bundles of fabrics on my web site. These are Shades of the Tropics, Indian Market Place and Emerald Isle. This will give you an idea of the amount of fabrics as well as light to dark shading that you should bring. You will be able to see these colors by going to www.jinnybeyer.com then to Fabric and then “Fabric and Bundles” Go through your stash and cut diamonds from fabrics within a color range of your choice. Be sure to have a variety of different values from light to dark, bright to dull, etc. Cut a few diamonds from each fabric. The more fabrics the better.Supplies:Rotary Cutter and matA 60 degree diamond ruler --Jinny's Perfect Cut 60 degree ruler or another ruler with 60 degree angles.Perfect Piecer, Jinny Beyer Diamond template or 6” ruler with quarter inch marked.Mechanical lead or chalk pencil (I like the Sewline Trio Colors Marking Pencil) ThimbleSmall embroidery size scissors One spool of thread in a dark color (Dark burgundy, dark purple, navy …..something that will coordinate with your colors (I prefer Aurifil #28 for hand piecing)Your favorite needles and a few pinsCutting:We will be using 60 degree diamonds. We will cut more diamonds during class.
