March 31, 2018:
A freak snow storm hit the Alderson area last night. The only
picture available was the one above, taken by one of the
West Virginia State Road's snow plows which was in the
process of clearing parts of Route 12, Alta Road. Efforts to
reach Alderson obviously have been hampered by the
monumental task of clearing drifts of over 20 feet high!
Alderson's mayor, Travis Copenhaver was contacted by phone and stated most every citizen was OK and could hold
out until the plows could clear the remainder of Route 12
and give assistance to the maintenance division of the
Alderson township. |
