Stars & Stripes will shine July 4, 2009 –Our Theme for
the 48th - 4th of July Celebration in Alderson:
The 4th of July Committee met April 20, 2009 and the basic schedule as
follows:
Schedule of events flyer due in May.
July 2 – Thurs – Firemen’s Rodeo 7:00 p.m. Football field.
July 3 – Friday – Homecoming Dinner 6:30 Alderson Community Center
(formerly Alderson High School)
Catered meal – advance paid reservations requested by July 1 $12.00
per person or $15.00 at door
Music on football field afterwards.
July 4 – Saturday – Parade - field events, show 7:00 p.m. and
fireworks 10:00 p.m. on football field $5.00 per person.
July 5 - Sunday – 11:00 Attend the church of your choice.
1:00 p.m. River Events at Mini-park
2:00 p.m. Horseshoe Contest – Beginning of Virginia Street
7:00 p.m. Gospel Show on Football Field
9:45 p.m. Fireworks –again!!
July 6 – 6:00 p.m. Ducks on the Greenbrier – Rubber Duck Race
