"Most of us have never heard of an organization called “Benevity”. You can look it up at benevity.com. It is an online giving platform used by many large corporations, such as Google, Apple, United Health Care, and other not so large ones, to allow their employees to give to a cause and be matched by the employer. The employer uses Benevity to outsource the work of collecting the employee gifts and matching funds and distributing them to the charities/causes they support.

Alderson Main Street recently received a contribution through Benevity from a former Alderson resident who remembered us from far away. That person is making a regular contribution and taking advantage of the employer match to give us twice as much.
