Alderson
Community
Market
welcomes
their
newest,
and
youngest,
vendor.
Vitale
DeRouen,
age
8,
brings
rosemary
focaccia
and
infused
water
which
he
calls
"Tali's
Tea.
"
His
best
seller
is
strawberry-mint.
Vitale
learned
to
make
focaccia
last
year
because
it
seemed
like
fun,
and
it
is
fun.
He
got
started
in
the
kitchen
years
ago,
with
his
mother
teaching
him
how
to
help.
He
credits
his
grandmother
in
Ohio
for
teaching
him
about
kitchen
utensils.
When
he
was
age
6,
Vitale
learned
to
make
scrambled
eggs.
It's
his
favorite dish, and when eggs are served in the DeRouen family, it's Vitale who's doing the cooking.
Come
to
the
Alderson
Community
Market
to

Vitale
and

vendors.
The
market
is
open
Tuesdays
from
3
to
6
pm
at
the
Alderson
Visitor
Center
(old
Gulf
station)
on
Riverview
Avenue.
You
can
find
sourdough
bread,
Amish
donuts,
whole-hog
sausage,
pork
chops,
eggs,
salad
greens
and
other
seasonal
vegetables
and
fruit.
One
of
the
market's
best
sellers
is
cinnamon
rolls
from
Fruits
of
Labor.
You
