Day
at
the
Alderson
Community
Market
is
Tuesday,
May
25.
Every
child
coming
to
the
market
receives
$4
in
tokens
and
a
special
market
tote
bag.
Kids
use
the
tokens
to
shop
for
their
own
fruit
and
vegetables,
and
carry
them
home
in
their
new
reusable
bag.
This
one-day-only
event
is
sponsored
by
WVU
Extension
Service,
with
Elizabeth
Reynolds,
Health
Educator,
at
the
market
from
3
to
6
pm
on
May
25 with tokens, tote bags, and more.
Kid’s
Day
is
also
the
very
first
day
of
Read
Aloud
at
the
Market.
Come
to
the
reading
tent
and
follow
the
adventures
of
Humphrey
the
classroom
hamster.
Summer
According
to
Humphrey
by
Betty
G.
Birney
is
the
Read
Aloud
book.
Elizabeth
Spangler
brings
a
change
of
pace,
a
new
children’s
activity,
and
a
place
to
sit
and
enjoy
storytelling
at
the
Alderson
Community
Market.
The
reading
will
be
performed
at
3:15
with
a repeat at 4:00.
Every
Tuesday
kids
will
find
the
Carrot
Club
at
the
sign
of
the
Big
Carrot.
Letha
Heatherly
leads
fun
and
adventure
with
Carrot
Club
activities.
Kids
earn
$3
in
Carrot
Club
Dollars
for
participating
which
can
be
used
to
buy
fruits
and
vegetables
at
the
market.
