Local Journalism Hello   all, Attached   is   a   notice   from   the   Monroe   Watchman   about   its   subscription   rates.      The   West   Virginia Daily   News   has   gone   to   3   days   a   week   for   delivery   and   the   other   2   by   electronic   means.      The   Mountain Messenger   is   a   weekly   paper   plus   its   digital   news.      Even   the   Charleston   Gazette-Mail   does   not   publish   a paper copy on Mondays and, in our area, does not deliver on Saturdays. All   this   to   say   that   local   and   other   papers,   who   publish   news   releases   from Alderson   Main   Street   and   other organizations   so   you   can   be   informed,   are   struggling   to   stay   afloat.      We   all   know   people   who   do   not   get their   news   through   the   Internet--although   YOU   can   since   you   are   receiving   this   by   email.      Please   consider supporting our local and state news papers as another way to get the news.
