Alderson Alumni Park! The Walkway Is Done!
They
were
a
long
time
coming
and
getting
installed
but
all
the
memorial
bricks
as
well
as
the
plain
ones
are
in
the
walkway
at
Alderson
Alumni
Park!
The
walkway
is
done!
There
are
so
many
people
to
thank
starting
with
Tom
Dameron
who
had
the
original
idea;
Sue
Fleshman
who
managed
the
last
order
and
finished
the
project;
Rick
Burns
and
Eric
Duff
who
helped
with
water
and
moving
bricks;
Margaret
Hambrick
who
sacrificed
a
toe
to
the
effort;
and
David
Hambrick
and
Benny
Hodges
who
were
the
masons!
Benny,
who
is
a
professional
mason
(retired)
came
to
help
but
does
not
work
without
his
"mud
man"
David
Hambrick.
It
was
a
labor
of
love
but
they
are
all
in
and
pointed.
Some
cleaning
remains
to
be
done but do take a walk in the park and find the name you put there. Thanks to all who ordered bricks!
