Christmas
in
a
big
way
–
with
our
expanded
“Grand
Illumination”
and
Christmas
parade!
We
are
lighting
up
the
town
on
the
first
Friday
of
December!
We’re
also
adding
a
wide
range
of
fun
events
every
weekend
from
Thanksgiving
until
Christmas,
including
many
Appalachian,
West
Virginia
and
Alderson
traditions
and
unique
shopping
possibilities
every
day.
Come
join
the
festivities
every
weekend,
and
enjoy
the
lights
all
month
long.

the
Queen
of
Lights
turn
on
the
Holiday
lights
all
over
town
as
she
leads
the
Christmas
Parade
down
Railroad
Avenue
and
across
the
Memorial
Bridge.
Stay
warm
during
the
parade
with
the
warming
stations
and
free
hot
chocolate
at
the
Historic
Train
Depot
and
the
Visitor
Center.
Drive
under
the
lights
of
the
bridge
after
the
parade,
shop,
and/or
visit
Santa
at
the
Community
Center.

Cedars
will

tour

beautiful home decorated for the holidays. Please purchase tickets in advance since space is limited.

Guided Walking Tour of the Alderson Historic District
$5 Donation. Tour starts at the Train Depot.
Alderson
has
many
wonderful
historic
buildings
from
the
1800’s
&
1900’s.
Learn
the
history,
architecture
and/or
repurposing
of
the
train
depot,
banks,
the
movie
theater,
Alderson’s
Store,
churches,
some
of
the
Victorian
homes
and
more
–
while
also
enjoying
their
Holiday
Decorations.
Each
tour
will
last
about
1
hour
and starts at the Alderson Train Depot. Goodies and hot drinks will be provided along the way.
