Hello all Main Street members and friends, First,   thank   you   for   your   interest   and   support   of   Alderson   Main   Street   and   all   the   activities   to   make   our town   a   great   place   to   live   and   work.   I   am   sure   you   know   already   that   volunteers   are   the   back   bone   of   this (and, really, any) organization. As   we   are   in   the   middle   of   the   vacation/tourist   season,   we   are   trying   to   keep   the   Visitors   Center   and   Depot open   for   visitors   and   locals   alike.   Both   need   volunteers   to   help   with   the   staffing. A   smiling,   friendly   face   is about all that is needed. If   you   are   interested   in   volunteering   at   the   Visitors   Center,   please   contact   Judy   Lohmeyer   at   304-992- 2366.   If   railroad   history   is   more   your   thing,   please   contact   Lanny   Howe   at   304-520-2425.   These   two   folks will   make   sure   you   are   comfortable   with   what   you   are   being   asked   to   do.   For   example,   there   is   a   script about the history of the Depot. Even an hour or two a week would be helpful. Thank you for helping make Alderson great!
