Here is the new color scheme
for the Historic 1896 Depot in Town of Alderson,
West Virginia. While there are several local
folks who are not fond of the orange color, it
is historically correct and is how the depot
would have looked in 1896. Paint removal is
almost done and painting will start soon. The
slate roof on the two ends will go on in a week
or two, and then work will start on a new
retaining wall and drainage system. Thanks to
the AMS members who have been managing this
project and to the DCI/Shires crew for their
