Frank L. Dameron, 84 of Port
Townsend, Washington, formerly of Alderson WV died Saturday December
5, 2010 in Palm Springs, California.
He was born in Alderson on July 8, 1926 and graduated from Alderson,
High School, Class of 1944. Frank served in the U. S. Navy during
World War II where he was stationed in Guam in the Pacific. He
graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s College, Emmitsburg, Maryland in 1949.
He retired as Vice President of Travel Advisors, Seattle Washington
after a career of over 40 years in the Travel industry. Prior to his
affiliation with Travel Advisors Frank held positions with American
Express in Rio de Janerio and San Paulo Brazil and in Manila, The
Philippines as well as managerial positions in Baltimore, Maryland
and Seattle, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank L. Dameron Sr. and
Glenna McClung Dameron of Alderson.
Survivors include his brother Thomas H. Dameron and wife Linda of
Alderson. There are five nieces and nephews, Thomas Dameron II
Bridgeport, New Jersey, Mary Beth Eaton and husband Richard of San
Diego California, John S. Dameron and wife Cassandra of Charlotte,
North Carolina, Anne S. Solano and husband Juan of San Diego,
California, and Andrew P. Dameron of Charlotte, North Carolina. He
is also survived by eight grand-nieces and nephews.
Expressions of Sympathy may be directed to Hospice Care Building
Fund, 223 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg 24901. In accordance with his
request the remains will be cremated and a graveside service will be
scheduled at a future date. Arrangements will be handled by Lobban
Funeral Home, Alderson, West Virginia.
