Elizabeth Ellis
"Bette" Hunting of Richmond, the
only child of Noel Coiner Ellis and Pauline Foster
Ellis, died on January 24, 2012. Born in Alderson, West
Virginia on November 10, 1928, she graduated from
Alderson High School in 1946, and attended Marshall
College in Huntington, West Virginia. She was a retired
staff employee of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and
remained an active member. Mrs. Hunting was a Council
member of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and a member
of the William Byrd Chapter of the Daughters of the
American Revolution. She is survived by a half sister,
Ann Ellis Barnes of Keller, Texas; and several cousins,
the closest being E. Wayne Ellis of Roanoke, Virginia. A
funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, January 30,
at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Church
Endowment Fund, 6000 Grove Ave., Richmond, Va. 23226.
