Dorothy Shields of Saint Charles, MO, passed Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Jerry Shields; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Smith; devoted mother of Deborah (Richard) Budde; loving grandmother of Jason (Belynda) Budde, Amber (Brian) Hostkoetter, Alyssa Budde (Dominic Anderson), and Jared Budde; treasured great-grandmother of Austin Budde, Gabrielle Budde, and Zachary Hostkoetter; and dear sister of Alice Bengey and the late Ralph Smith.

Dorothy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of St. Charles, American Legion Auxiliary Post 312, and VFW Auxiliary Post 2866. She loved to play bingo, participate in social media, and enjoyed trips with the local parks departments. Most of all, Dorothy loved spending time with her family, including her four-legged companions. Dorothy was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Dorothy was born in Alderson, W. V. and a graduate of Alderson High School, Class of 1958.
