Charles Franklin Hiser - Obituary

RONCEVERTE, WV – Charles Franklin Hiser, 82 of Ronceverte, WV formerly of Alderson, WV died Friday, June 26, 2020 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center from complications of the COVID-19 Virus.

Born July 12, 1937 he was the son of the late Glen Ray and Gladys Mae Bennett Hiser. Charles was a Meat Cutter by trade.

He and his late wife of forty-three years, Shirley Mae Richmond Hiser owned Hiser’s Superette. He also worked for Gadd’s IGA and retired from The Greenbrier.

Mr. Hiser was a member of the Graystone Baptist Church and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Layanna June Holcomb and Sandra Feamster, siblings, Mary Nowfel, Pat Hiser and Anna Lou Jones and a nephew, Danny Ray Hiser. Survivors are his daughter, Libby Morgan (Tim) of Caldwell, WV, grandchildren, Robbie Falls of Alderson, WV, Brett Falls of Charleston, SC, Melanie Morgan of Prince George, VA, Beth Quire of Frankfort, KY, Jerri Martin of Fairmont, WV, Kelsey Morgan (D.J.) of Lewisburg, WV and David Morgan (Emily) of Kent, OH, special great grandson, Tydus Carter, several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his special cat, Mollie.

It was Charles’ wish to be cremated. A Time of Remembrance will be from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.
