Barbara Sue Coleman Duff, age 80 of Alderson, West Virginia died Saturday, February 26, 2022. She was born January 6, 1942 at Stickney, WV. Barbara was a caregiver for many elderly residents in and around Alderson. If there was a child in Alderson who needed an adopted mother, Barbara was it. Her family extends beyond those listed as “actual family.” Barbara never met a stranger and never turned her back on someone who needed help. She married a True and Devout Aldersonian, Donald “Cricket” Duff on April 10, 1959.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Ehrmon Albert Coleman and Susan Irene Stanley Coleman Trout, son, Shawn Hunter Duff, daughter, Deborah DeLaine Duff, brothers, Sonny Coleman, Edwin Lewis Coleman, Robert Coleman, and a sister, Carol Webb (Junior).

Those left to cherish many memories of Barbara are her husband of 62 years Donald Paul Duff aka “Cricket,” sons, David Paul Duff (Ryne) of Montpelier, VT, Eric Scott Duff (Heather) of Alderson, daughters, Leigha Susette Thomas (Kevin) of Kenna, WV, Elizabeth Colleen Workman (Mark) of Alderson, WV, brother, Roy Keith Trout (Nancy) of Baltimore, MD, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and many special nieces, nephews, and “adopted children.”

Per Barbara’s wishes there will be no services and she will be cremated.
