Connie
Joyce
Morris
entered
into
the
presence
of
her
Savior
at
the
age
of
81.
Connie
was
preceded
in
death
by
her
loving
husband,
Alan
Ray
Morris,
and
is
survived
by
her
five
sons:
Chuck
Morris
(Shannon),
Mick
Morris
(Holly
Messer),
Brian
Morris
(Jennifer),
Eric
Morris,
and
Marc
Morris;
6
grandchildren:
Matt
Morris
(Kenzie),
Becca
Creasy
(Colton),
Abigail
Page
(Donald),
Tim
Morris
(Caroline),
Emily
Morris,
and
Audrey
Roberts
(Casey);
5
great-grandchildren:
Nora
Creasy,
Evelyn
Morris,
Grayson
Roberts,
Luke
Morris,
and
Eliza
Morris,
and
yet
to
be
born
Baby
Page,
due
in
June
2024;
and
as
the
second
of
nine
children,
numerous
brothers and sisters.
Connie
was
born
on
January
31st,
1942,
in
Alderson,
West
Virginia.
After
graduating
from
Alderson
high
school
in
1959,
she
moved
to
San
Diego,
California.
She
met
her
future
husband
at
Balboa
Park
Baptist
Church
where
they
were
married
in
1960
and
they
began
raising
a
family.
She
served
as
a
church
secretary
as
well
as
in
the
office
of
their
family-owned
print
shop,
but
her
primary
occupation
was
that
of
homemaker/wife/mother,
tasks
that
brought
her
the
greatest
joy
and
satisfaction.
She
was
a
faithful
servant
of
the
local
churches
that
she
attended
and
could
be
found
singing
in
the
choir
or
working
with
children in Sunday school and Vacation Bible School or cooking food for students at church camps.
In
her
later
years,
she
worked
in
church
daycare
centers,
rocking
babies
and
continuing
to
love
and
serve
the
youngest
among
us.
Connie
was
a
member
of
Chilhowee
Hills
Baptist
Church,
where
she
joined
after
being
a
member
of
Sevier
Heights
Baptist
Church
with
her
husband.
The
family
will
receive
friends
on
Tuesday,
January
30th
from
5:00
–
7:00
PM,
with
a
memorial
service
to
follow
at
7:00
PM
at
Bridges
Funeral
Home
