away

Monday,

2002,
at
the
home
of
his
daughter
in
Alderson
following
a
long
illness.
Born
Aug.
6,
1912,
at
Blakers
Mill,
he
was
the
son
of
the
late
Ashby
Olan
and
Florence
Rader
Feamster.
Mr.
Feamster
was
a
retired
self-employed
farmer.
He
was
a
1933
graduate
of
Alderson
High
School,
Alderson,
and
a
member
of
the
Alderson
Presbyterian
Church,
Alderson.
He
was
preceded
in
death
by
a
daughter,
Martha
M.
Feamster;
a
sister,
Dorothy
Mae
Feamster;
and
three
grandchildren.
Survivors
include
his
wife
of
64
years,
Lena
Karnes
Feamster
of
Alderson;
four
sons,
Frank
Feamster
and
wife,
Susan
of
Nags
Head,
NC,
Richard
Feamster
of
Gloucester,
VA,
Henry
Feamster
and
wife,
Sonnie
of
Ronceverte,
and
George
S.
Feamster,
Jr.
and
wife,
Sandy
of
Hinton;
four
daughters,
Marjorie
Sharp
of
Grafton,
VA,
Mary
Phillips
and
husband,
Jim
of
Forest
City,
NC,
Rebecca
Loudermilk
and
husband,
Donald
of
Frankford,
and
Rachel
Goodall
and
husband,
Kenneth
of
Alderson;
14
grandchildren;
eight step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Services
were
held
May
24,
at
Lobban
Funeral
Home
Chapel,
Alderson,
where
the
Rev.
Deana
M.
Armstrong officiated. Burial followed in Lewis Cemetery, Blakers Mill near Alderson.
