62,
of
Alderson,
W.Va.,
passed
away
on
Sunday,
March
24,
2024 at Lewisburg Health Center in Ronceverte, W.Va., following a long illness.
Born
November
23,
1961
at
Blue
Sulphur
Springs,
W.Va.,
she
was
the
daughter
of
the
late
Charles
Ross
and
Gladys
Marie
Hiser
Sims.
In
addition
to
her
parents,
she
was
preceded
in
death
by
her
stepfather,
Chester
Lee
Hiser;
two
brothers,
Larry
Lee
Sims
and
Curtis
Monroe
Sims;
two
sisters,
Betty
Jane
Sims
and Rebecca Darlene Sims Hiser; and a nephew, Joshua Paul Sims.
Ms.
Sims
was
a
homemaker
and
babysitter.
She
attended
Alderson
Schools
(Class
of
1966)
and
was
of
the
Christian
faith.
She
loved
to
cook,
can
vegetables
from
the
garden,
swinging
on
the
porch,
and
loved
animals,
especially
her
cats
and
dogs.
She
loved
to
spend
time
with
her
family
and
taking
care of her family was by far her greatest joy.
Survivors
include
her
companion
of
45
years,
Gary
Lane
Bragg,
Sr.
of
Alderson;
a
son,
Gary
Lane
Bragg,
Jr.
and
his
wife,
Sara,
of
Rupert,
W.Va.;
a
daughter,
Rachel
Nadine
Bragg
of
Rupert;
one
sister,
Audrey
Marie
Hall
of
Ronceverte;
two
brothers,
Charles
Robert
"Bobby"
Sims
of
Fort
Spring,
W.Va.,
and
George
Garland
Sims
and
his
companion,
Nancy
Smith,
of
Alderson;
four
grandsons,
Lane
Bragg
of
Green
Sulphur
Springs,
W.Va.,
Kaiden
Ransom
of
Roanoke,
Va.,
Landon
Clendenin
of
Meadow
Bridge,
W.Va.,
and
Hunter
Clendenin of Meadow Bridge; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services
will
be
Friday,
March
29,
2024
at
2:00
p.m.
at
the
Lobban
Funeral
Home
Chapel
in
Alderson
with
Pastor
Anthony
Carter
officiating.
Entombment
will
follow
at
the
Wallace
Memorial
Mausoleum
at
Clintonville,
W.Va.
Friends
may
call
Friday,
March
29,
2024
from
12:00
p.m.
to
2:00
p.m.
at
the Lobban Funeral Home in Alderson.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
