died
Tuesday,
July
17
2001,
following
a
brief
illness.
Born
May
6,
1914
at
Blue
Sulphur
Springs,
she
was
the
daughter
of
the
late
Edgar
Lewis
and
Daisy
Catherine
Rader
Buster.
In
addition
to
her
parents,
she
was
preceded
in
death
by
one
brother,
Edgar
Lewis
Buster II; and one sister, Mary Catherine Buster Blake.
Mrs.
Crawford
was
formerly
a
correctional
officer,
having
retired
from
the
Federal
Bureau
of
Prisons,
Alderson,
after
twenty
years
of
service.
She
was
also
a
former
elementary
school
teacher,
having
taught
at
Blue
Sulphur
Springs,
and
White
Sulphur
Springs.
Mrs.
Crawford
was
a
1931
graduate
of
Alderson
High
School
and
attended
Concord
College,
Alderson
Baptist
College,
Armstrong
Junior
College
in
Alderson,
and Greenbrier College for Women.
Mrs.
Crawford
was
a
member
of
the
Alderson
Presbyterian
Church,
The
Blue
Sulphur
Spring
Home
Demonstration
Club
and
member
of
the
Local
Chapter
of
NARFE-The
National
Association
of
Retired
Federal
Employees.
Mrs.
Crawford
was
loved
dearly
and
will
be
greatly
missed.
Survivors
include
her
husband
Charles

Crawford,
of
Alderson;
one
daughter,
Margaret
C.
Camicia
and
husband,
Bob,
of
Goodview,
VA;
one
son,
C.
Henry
Crawford
and
wife
Peggy,
of
Ronceverte;
five
grandchildren,
Robert
M.
Camicia
Jr.,
of
New
York,
New
York,
Deborah
E.
Camicia
Nicely,
of
Staunton,
VA,
Jennifer
K.
Camicia,
Carson
City,
Nevada,
Kelli
Susanne
Crawford,
Ronceverte,

services
and
burial
were
Friday,
July
20,

at
the
Old
Greenbrier
Memorial
Cemetery,
Alderson,
with
the
Rev.
Sam
Groves
and
Rev.
Deana
Armstrong
officiating.
