ALDERSON — Emily S.
“Sue” Hiser Thomas, age 62, of Alderson, W.Va., died
Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at her home in Alderson, following an
extended illness.
Born August 8, 1948, at Blue Sulphur Springs, W.Va., she was
the daughter of Audrey Faye Bryant Hiser of Caldwell, W.Va.,
and the late Earl Leslie Hiser Sr. In addition to her
father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Leslie
“Tony” Hiser Jr.
Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker. She was a 1966 graduate of
Alderson High School, Alderson, W.Va., and was a member of
the Mt. Herman United Methodist Church at Renick, W.Va. Mrs.
Thomas loved to decorate houses and enjoyed her flowers, but
most important to her was spending time with her
granddaughter, Abby, who was the joy of her life. |
Survivors include her husband of 20 years,
Allen Elliot Thomas of Alderson, W.Va.; a daughter, Julie H. Hanna
Woolard and her husband, Frank, of Lewisburg, W.Va.; a
granddaughter, Abigail Rose Woolard of Lewisburg, W.Va.; her mother,
Audrey Faye Bryant Hiser of Caldwell, W.Va.; two sisters, Joan
Whoolery and her husband, Jim, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and Brenda
Hiser Ayers of Roanoke, Va.; three uncles, James “T” Bryant of
Cleveland, Ohio, Jim Bryant and his wife, Erma, of Davidsonville,
Md., and Ivan “Doc” Bryant and his wife, Ann, of Davidsonville, Md.;
a niece, Sandi; four nephews, Jimmy, Jeffrey, Tad, and Les; a
great-niece, Hope; and two great-nephews, Jimmy and Jonathan.
