ONE YOUTH FROM LONG AGO |
A LONG LONG TIME AGO AS I GREW TO MANHOOD, BEING MY OWN FATHER WITHOUT REALIZING IT. CERTAIN COLORFUL UNIQUE FIGURES WERE AWFULLY IMPORTANT TO ME, ONE WAS A BIG BLOND GIANT OF A YOUTH NAMED DAVID. DAVID WAS A GOOD NATURED BUT HARD FISTED YOUTH. HE WAS A GREAT MALE FIGURE ROUGH TOUGH FULL OF HIMSELF, READY TO FIGHT DAY OR NIGHT. HE WAS A GREAT ATHLETE,A GREAT LEADER IN HIS GROUP. WE WERE NOT FRIENDS BUT I WAS AWARE WE SHARED THE SAME SPARSE ROUGH BACKGROUND. FROM THE 9TH GRADE UNTIL 7 YEARS LATER WHEN I LEFT FOREVER, WE WERE ALWAYS ON THE SAME STREETS AND IN THE SAME POOLROOM. I ALWAYS RESPECTED AND NOW I REALLY LIKE AND LISTEN TO WHAT DAVID SHIELDS SAYS, BY THE WAY DAVE, HOWDY ,YOUR FRIEND , RICK HUGHES |
