VIRGINIA MCLAUGHLIN ONE GREAT PERSON |
FOR A SMALL TOWN ALDERSON HAD AN ABUNDANT SHARE OF GREAT INSPIRATIONAL PEOPLE. IN ALDERSON AS I GREW UP THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS FEMINIST OR PEOPLE WHO CRIED OUT FOR WOMEN'S RIGHTS WHATEVER THAT MEANS, HOWEVER, I WANT TO GIVE TRIBUTE TO WHAT I THINK WAS A TRULY GREAT WOMEN. VIRGINIA, TO ME WAS A VERY INSPIRATIONAL, VIBRANT, LEADER. VIRGINIA, WORKED MANY YEARS AT THE PRISON, SHE ROSE AND EVENTUALLY BECAME THE WARDEN. THIS WAS A WONDERFUL ACHIEVEMENT FOR HER, AND A HUGE TESTIMONY OF HER LEADERSHIP SKILLS .ALL OF THIS SHOWED WHAT A GREAT PUBLIC PERSON SHE WAS, BUT IN MY OPINION SHE WAS EVEN BETTER AS A PRIVATE PERSON. I CAN SAY THAT EVERY TIME I TALKED TO VIRGINIA SHE SAID SOMETHING THAT WAS NEW INFORMATION OR MADE ME THINK . VIRGINIA ALWAYS HAD GREAT VISION, IT'S BEEN MANY MANY YEARS SINCE I SAW VIRGINIA, BUT I WOULD CALL HER CLOSE TO HER BIRTHDAY AND ACTUALLY SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER. SHE WAS ONE GREAT PERSON. I WILL ALWAYS MISS HER. |
