I have always loved old time country
music, such as Hank
Williams, Charley Pride, Bob Wiles, Little Jimmy Dickens, Johnny Horton,
Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, and Red Solvine. The newer
country does not captivate me. Religious or spiritual songs I love
Amazing Grace, and How Great Thou Art. I must also confess opera is
interesting and dare I say enjoyable, although outside of Batovan, I
know nothing! I have found a new stimulating music, which for me is
enormously enjoyable. Irish music is absolutely fascinating. It could be
a second cousin to country music, in that it covers some of the same topics. The fight for
life, the incredible adventures of life, Everything
from heartbreak, love, death, war, drinking, fighting, poverty, and
survival. Irish music has an almost uniformly beautiful powerful, appropriate voice. The singers seem to both relax and
inspire at the same time. Should you come into contact with Irish
music, try it, I think you will enjoy it.
