Meet   Bucky!   He   is   our   unofficial   town   deer!   He   roams   around   town   and   doesn’t   appear   to   be   afraid   of humans.   Gary   Reed   told   me   a   funny   story   about   Bucky   that   is   actually   true!   Gary   was   in   his   workshop   one day   when   he   thought   that   his   wife   Carol   had   lightly   punched   him   in   his   back.   He   reached   around   and grabbed what he thought was his wife but was actually Bucky’s antler!!! Big surprise! He   has   been   seen   by   many   Aldersonians   and   they   are   amazed   at   how   friendly   he   is.   Some   kids   have actually   hugged   him!   He   now   has   an   orange   collar   and   if   you   are   aware   of   whose   pet   he   is,   please   let   us know.   Several   people   have   told   me   that   they   have   watched   him   grow   up.   If   you   come   across   Bucky, please   make   sure   no   harm   comes   to   him!!!   When   I   took   this   picture   in   my   side   yard,   he   just   stood   there   as I   walked   closer   and   closer.   He   didn’t   move.   We   all   hope   no   one   will   harm   him   or   hunt   him   down   during deer season.
