Alderson’s Lion Still Roars Town of Alderson

About   20   people   braved   the   heat   and   humidity   today   to   dedicate   the   marker   for   "French",   the   Alderson Lion.   Thanks   to   a   grant   from   the   Pomeroy   Foundation   and   assistance   from   the   WV   Humanities   Council Folklife   Program,   a   local   legend   was   recognized.   The   Town   of Alderson   and Alderson   Main   Street   worked in partnership to make this happen. Now, everyone will know the story of the Alderson Lion! Then   all   went   inside   the   Visitors   CenterBridgewalk   Vendors   for   some   cool   air   and   refreshments.   Thanks   to Judy Wiggins Lohmeyer for providing some tasty treats.
