CORPORAL RODRIGUEZ RECEIVES PROMOTION
At the regular meeting of the Council for the Town of Alderson on Thursday, February 14, Police Chief
Jeremy Bennett formally promoted Patrolman Rigoberto Rodriguez to Corporal.
The ceremony was attended by Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy Herman Rodriguez, Rigoberto’s brother,
who pinned the new badge.
In recognizing the efforts which led to this promotion, Chief Bennett said, “We have two new officers on
duty here in Alderson and I realized that the reason I was not getting asked so many questions by the new
officers was that Corporal Rodriguez was handling them for me. He has stepped up into a leadership
position and we are recognizing that.”
Mayor Travis Copenhaver, Council, and guests joined in a round of applause in recognition of the
promotion of Corporal Rodriguez.
