SOUTHERN DISTRICT WOMEN’S CLUB MEETS IN ALDERSON
The
Southern
District
of
the
General
Federation
of
Women’s
Clubs
(GFWC-WV)
held
their
annual
spring
gathering
in
Alderson
on
Saturday,
April
27
at
the
Alderson

for
the
Arts
and
Humanities. Fifty-five women from 12 clubs attended the event hosted by the Alderson Women’s Club.
There
are
16
clubs
in
the
district
and
the
organizers
were
very
pleased
with
the
attendance.
District
meetings
are
held
each
year
in
the
spring
and
fall
to
share
information,
ideas,
and
projects.
These
meetings encourage everyone to continue to serve their communities and recruit new members to help.
Lisa
Lineberry,

District
President,
said,
“I
was
very
pleased
with
the
attendance,
venue,
and
the
sharing
of
ideas
and
projects.
We
also
made
$500
from
our
basket

will
go

were
excited
to
have
women
from
the

our

I
really
