Spotlight On Alderson Today’s   spotlight   on   the   A-Team   focuses   on   Patrolman   Sheldon   Simmons.   Sheldon   came   to   us   from   a background in corrections. Sheldon enjoys his time with the kids too. Sheldon    is    a    quiet    guy    who    takes    it    all    in.    He    is    extremely    courteous    and    helpful    to    everyone    he encounters.   He   overcame   a   lot   during   his   time   at   the   academy.   The   hardest   was   the   death   of   his   mom. We are so proud of his work here. Just   like   all   of   our   department   he   was   selected   from   a   pool   of   candidates.   Passed   his   physical   agility   test, passed   his   polygraph   test,   background   checks,   drug   screen,   and   endured   a   panel   interview   consisting   of key team members ranging from a council member to the town’s prosecuting attorney. Patrolman   Simmons   has   exemplified   what Alderson   Police   Department’s   community   oriented   policing   is   all about daily.
