Zack Burns - Outstanding Aldersonian
(From Town of Alderson Face Book)
Young
people
with
dedication
and
commitment
are
getting
fewer
and
fewer.
Today’s
spotlight
on
the
team was supposed to be someone else, but this one is fitting right now.
Whether
it’s
pumping
water,
fixing
vehicles,
or
performing
routine
maintenance
this
young
man
gives
way more than expected. Day or night, no matter the time, he is always there.
Zack
Burns
has
a
talent
and
I’m
not
sure
exactly
which
one
is
his
best.
He
has
saved
every
department
thousands
of
dollars
since
we
got
him
his
equipment
and
he
took
over
the
fleet
managers
spot.
He
went
above
the
expectation
to
get
us
certified
to
do
our
fleet’s
inspections
for
yearly
state
inspections.
He
is
one of a few select handful of people in West Virginia certified to work on emergency vehicles as well.
When
he’s
not
pumping
water,
fixing
vehicles,
or
some
of
his
other
duties
he
loves
he
smell
of
hot
asphalt. Not sure why, unless it’s to wear his boots with his shorts.
Rick
and
Hazel
have
done
well
and
I
am
sure
are
proud.
One
of
the
most
respectable
and
courteous
young
men
you
will
ever
come
across.
He
may
give
us
all
the
devil
as
he
fixes
what
we
tear
up,
but
he
knows when you do what we do, it’s going to happen.
I
am
proud
of
Zack
for
being
on
our
team,
but
more
importantly
for
the
man
he
is.
Thank-you
Zack
for
everything! You make our team and town “Alderson Proud!”
