Alderson Receives Grant November   2,   2021.   This   evening   Governor   Jim   Justice   paid   a   visit   to Alumni   Park   in Alderson   to   present   a hazard mitigation grant to the City of Alderson for $8,304,000. Additional   cities   in   Greenbrier   County   were   also   presented   with   hazard   mitigation   grants   this   evening,   their totals are below: Lewisburg: $250,000 Rupert: $2,600,000 White Sulphur Springs: $2,980,000 Ronceverte: $8,800,000 Rainelle: $9,955,000 Congrats to all the cities! Our   team   has   been   working   quite   a   while   to   obtain   this   grant   that   will   build   a   brand   new   modern   water plant   out   of   the   floodplain.   This   award   will   fund   the   entire   project   as   well   as   creating   an   alternative   source water inlet off of the Greenbrier River in cases when the river is contaminated. We    are    very    appreciative    for    all    involved    and    the    Governor    for    coming    to    Alderson    to    make    the presentation. (click photos for larger view)
