I cannot remember who wrote the article. It was a fellow from Life magazine driving through "Appalachia" writing about the poverty of the area.  It was sometime in the 60's possibly right after the centennial. There are no dates showing on the partial pages I have. My grandmother Allen saved the article because of the reference to Hiram Robinson, (pictured below) who was our neighbor "down the holler".
