ALDERSON WAS THE LAND OF OUR YOUTH , WHERE WE GOT OUR VALUES , OUR STRENGTH , OUR WEAKNESSES , AND OUR CHARACTER . HERE ARE SOME OUTSTANDING PEOPLE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO ONE UNCERTAIN . CONFUSED , GROWING ALDERSON YOUTH . HOMER PERDUE , OUR SCHOOL JANITOR WHO LET A YOUTH STAY IN THE GYM AND WORK HOUR AFTER HOUR . AS FAR AS I KNOW HOMER NEVER APPEARED ON FOX NEWS SHOW . THE TODAY SHOW, IMUS , THE VIEW. HE WAS NOT FAMOUS BUT HE WAS A GREAT MAN , HE WAS FUN AND HE WAS KIND . WOODY BOWERS WAS A VERY NICE AND REALLY MADE HIS STUDENTS WANT TO LEARN , MORE , HE WAS A FRIEND TO A CONFUSED YOUTHFUL MALE , HE NEVER WON AN AWARD OR WILL BE HAILED AS A GREAT EDUCATOR BUT TO ME HE WAS GREAT. WYATT DUNCAN , TAUGHT HISTORY TO 5TH GRADERS AND REALLY BROUGHT IT HOME , MANIFEST DYNASTY , I WILL STUDY AND GET READY AND SOMEDAY MY CHANCE WILL COME. ANOTHER GREAT TEACHER , HARRY MEREDITH , A GREAT FRIEND AND OLDER SUPPORTER , HE CONSTANTLY ENCOURAGED AN UNCERTAIN YOUTHFUL MALE. SAM BENNETT . MORE THAN ANYONE HE KNEW THAT A YOUTHFUL MALE HAD EXTRAORDINARY TALENT IN BASKETBALL AND IF HE USED HIS MIND , WHICH HE DIDN'T , HE COULD GO A LONG WAY. SHAGG PATTON, CO SIGNED FOR ME ON MY FIRST LOAN, WHAT A RISK, WHAT A WONDERFUL MSN, I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT MONEY LOANS OR REPAYMENT WHAT RAW FINANCIAL COURAGE . I MUST SAY ON THAT TOPIC. I HAVE COME A LONG WAY BABY, ANYWAY, I PAID IT BACK EVEN THOUGH I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING . MRS. VIRGINIA MCLAUGHLIN WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON, AND VERY VERY SMART AND SOMEONE WHO I ENJOYED BEING AROUND , FINALLY COACH MCLAUGHLIN , WAS A GREAT GREAT LEADER WHO WAS PLEASED ,FRUSTRATED, ANGRY , DISAPPOINTED, HAPPY AND HOPEFUL IN OUR DEALINGS , I NEVER REACHED THE HEIGHTS HE HOPPED BUT NEVER FELL TO THE DEPTHS HE FEARED, TODAY , I BELIEVE HE WOULD BE ASTOUNDED BY WHAT I LEARNED FROM HIM AND THE INCREDIBLE DISCIPLINE CONTROL AND PATIENCE HE TAUGHT ME. AND HOW I USED THEM TO MARCH THROUGH LIFE , AND I BELIEVE YOU CANT BE CERTAIN , HE WOULD HAVE LIKED THE WAY I AM AT THIS STAGE |
