Album Notes
Science   tells   us   that   diamonds   are   formed   under   the   earth   by   the   powerful   compression   of   energetic   molecules.   The Diamonds, America's   most   gleaming   vocal   quartet,   compress   more   power   and   energy,   more   molecular   unity,   more   sheer sparkle   into   a   song   to   tease   the   music   loving   ear   than   we   have   heard   since   the   Big   Band   boomed   its   way   into   our   lives. Like   the   undisciplined   reflections   of   a   fine   cut   diamond,   the   Diamonds'   first   appearance   on   records,   “Why   Do   Fools   Fall In   Love”,   threw   off   crazy   sparks   and   new   musical   angles   that   seared   their   way   to   the   top.   They   did   it   again   with   “Church Bells   May   Ring”   and   “Ka   Ding   Dong”   until   their   frenetic   “Little   Darlin'”   established   them   unquestionably   among   the   rare and durable gem of great popular music. Appearances   on   the   Perry   Como   Show   and   Steve Allen   Show   on   TV   brought   out   the   brilliance   of   their   visual   dimension, so   they   were   signed   pronto   for   a   major   motion   picture   appearance.   Here   are   the   fabulous   Diamonds,   all   their   energy, their gleam, their moods and the decorousness of their amazing talent.
