It
is
with
great
sadness
that
we
announce
the
passing
of
Ted
Kowalski,
on
August
8th,
2010,
after
a
courageous
battle
with
heart
disease.
Ted
was
the
original
tenor
of
one
of
Canada's
premiere
1950's
musical
groups,
The
Diamonds.
Beloved
husband
and
best
friend
of
Valare
Bromley;
Loving
Father
of
Marianne
and
John
Kowalski,
and
their
partners
Jen
and
Jim;
Loving
son
of
the
late
Stephan
and
Josephine
Kowalski
and
predeceased
by
brother
Peter.
Ted
was
the
recipient
of
three
gold
records
and
an
inductee
into
the
Rock
n'
Roll
Hall
of
Fame
in
Cleveland,
Ohio.
He
sang
with
the
vocal
group
The
Generations
in
Toronto;
Tom
Demores
Orchestra,
and
was
an
active
member
of
the
Whitby
Senior's
Jubilee
Choir.
Mass
will
be
held
at
ST.
JOHN
THE
EVANGELIST
on
Gifford
Street
in
Whitby
on
Friday,
August
3th,
at
10:00
a.m.
Anyone
wishing
to
attend,
a
celebration
of
Ted's
life
will
be
held
at
the
Whitby
Senior
Centre
at
801
Brock
Street
South
on
Saturday,
August
21st
at
2:00
p.m.
Members
of
the
Whitby
Senior
Jubilee
Choir
will
be
honouring
Ted
through
song.
In
lieu
of
flowers,
donations
in
Ted's
memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
