AldersonMainStreethasscheduledtheirThird AnnualFallFestivalontheBridgeforOctober5,from10-3.MostvendorswillbelocatedontheAldersonMemorialBridgeasvisitorsstrollthroughtheirwares fromtheGreenbrierCountysidetotheMonroeCountysideandviceversa.TheHistoric1896C&O DepotandMuseumwillalsobeopenandwillhostOpenMicattheDepotnightonthatSaturdayfrom6-9 pm.Theexcitingactivitiesincludeseveralfreechildren’sactivitiessuchasmakingearsofcornfrombeads offeredbyOldGreenbrierBaptistChurch;hittingapumpkinpinataforitsdeliciouscontents;facepainting; andmuchmore.Thepetparadeat11:45willbefromtheFruitsofLaborCafétotheGazebowherethe pets and their costumes will be judged. LamppostdecoratinghasbecomeoneofAlderson’sfavoriteactivitiesaspeopleandbusinesses compete to see who can create the best seasonal decoration. TherewillbefoodoptionsincludingtheCommunityMarketwhichwillbesellingchili,hotdogsandmore tosupporttheirseasonalactivities.Localrestaurantswillbeopenandvendorswillhavespecialtyfoods.Aldersonshops,includingtheAldersonArtisansGallery,willbedecoratedforfallandhavebeautiful goods for sale. MusicwillbewoventhroughoutthedayfrommusicianslocatedintheGazebothankstoagrantfromthe GreenbrierCountyCommission.Thefestivalwouldnotbepossiblewithoutthecooperationandsupport of the Town of Alderson and the Alderson Police Department.AMSPresidentDonSutherlandsaid,“Therearealotoffestivalsthistimeofyearbutnooneoffersa prettier venue than Alderson.
