Please be aware that Don Sutherland, President of Alderson Main Street, will host a ribbon cutting for a new business in Alderson—Jessie’s Market! The ceremony will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 8, at the location at 110 Davis Street beside the Lantz Funeral Home. Hope to see you there. The owner, Jessica Hanna has supplied the following background information: “My name is Jessica Hanna owner of Jessie’s Market in Alderson WV!  I spent many years caring for others as a Physical Therapist Assistant and, after much consideration, I decided to take a new path and start my own business.  My husband and I knew there was a need for fresh food options in the Alderson area so we decided on a small market/deli.   We have several options at the market from freshly sliced deli meat and cheese, fresh pork sausage and pork chops from Blue Sulphur Farms, fresh hamburger and steaks from Caring Acres farms, fresh produce, bakery items, salt rising bread, and specialty bread from Backroads Bakery.  Jarhead Farms supplies us with their tasty jams, jellies, apple butter, and fruit syrups.  We offer several menu items that include sandwiches, paninis, hoagies, and wraps.  Our sandwiches are served on sourdough bread that’s made fresh by our partners at Flavor Mutt Bakery in Fairlea.  We prepare different salads daily that range from Chef salads, Cobb salads, loaded Italian salads, to our summer salads.  You can call ahead and place orders for party trays as well.   Our hope is to provide an affordable and convenient option to folks in the Alderson and surrounding areas.  I love the elderly population and anything I can do to help them out makes me happy.  That’s why we offer a FREE delivery service for grocery items to the shut-in and elderly within town limits.  Last, but certainly not least, I give all glory to God for making this little place possible.   We love serving you!   Open Tuesday- Saturday from 10AM to 6PM! “
