Massie,
Age
71,
of
Alderson,
passed
away
peacefully
with
her
family
by
her
side
on
Monday,
March
31,
2025,
at
the
Peyton
Hospice
House
in
Lewisburg,
WV.
She
was
born
on
February
5,
1954,
in
Bluefield,
WV,
a
daughter
of
the
late
Bobby
Gene
Brackenridge
and
Norma
Ruth (Smith) Brackenridge.
Mrs.
Massie
owned
and
operated
the
Massie
T’s
apparel
shop
for
35
years
before
retiring
and
previously
attended
Griffith
Creek
Baptist
Church.
She
will
be
remembered
for
the
love
of
sewing,
quilting,
gardening
and
working
in
her
yard.
She
also
enjoyed
attending
car
shows
and
most
of
all
spending
time
with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She
is
survived
by
her
daughters,
Stephanie
Carol
Massie
and
her
companion
Phillip
Morgan,
of
Sophia,
Darla
Danielle
Massie,
of
Alderson;
her
grandchildren,
Taryn
Zimmerman,
Kirsten
Heaton
and
her
Companion
Ethan
Vandall,
Jerry
Remington
Reed,
all
of
Alderson,
Skyler
Giese
and
her
companion
Lane
Hayes,
of
Ronceverte;
her
great
grandchildren,
Journee
Stanley,
Maddox
Stanley,
and
Lainey
Vandell,
all
of
Alderson,
and
Harper
Hayes,
of
Ronceverte;
her
brothers,
Dennis
Brackenridge
and
his
wife
Tammy,
of
Powder
Springs,
GA,
and
Dwight
Brackenridge,
of
Alderson;
her
special
friend,
Jerry
Reed,
of
Aldrson;
and
many
loving nieces and nephews.
In
addition
to
her
parents,
she
is
preceded
in
death
by
her
loving
husband
of
43
years
Harold
Albert
Massie, her two brothers, Dewayne Brackenridge and Douglas Brackenridge.
Funeral
services
will
be
Monday,
April
7,
2025,
at
2:00
p.m.
at
the
Lobban
Funeral
Home
Chapel
in
Alderson,
with
Pastor
Mike
Teubert
officiating.
Burial
will
follow
at
the
Alderson
Cemetery
in
Alderson.
Friends
may
call
Monday,
April
7,
2025,
from
1:00
p.m.
to
2:00
p.m.
at
the
Lobban
Funeral
home
in
Alderson.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
