Mullins,
83,
went
home
to
be
with
the
Lord
on
Friday,
February
14,
2025
at
the
Bristol Hospice House in Bristol, TN.
Vella
was
born
and
raised
in
Alderson,
West
Virginia
and
was
of
the
Christian
Faith.
She
was
a
former
employee
of
MSHA
and
the
FBI
where
she
retired
after
54
years
of
Government
Service.
After
her
husband
passed
she
moved
to
Bristol,
TN
to
live
with
her
daughter and son-in-law and two granddaughters, who were her pride and joy.
She
was
preceded
in
death
by
her
husband,
James
E.
Mullins;
parents,
Clovie
and
Estie
Bryant
Tincher;
and
four
sisters,
Juanita
Warden,
June
Peck,
Viola
Noland
and
Geneva
Burns.
Surviving
are
her
daughter
and
son-in-law,
Mitzi
Adkins
and
husband,
Jon;
four
grandchildren,
Jarrett
Adkins
and
Trinity
Adkins
and
two
very
special
granddaughters
who
adored
their
GEEN,
Madelyn
Adkins
and
Maycee
Adkins;
two
step-sons,
Joe
Mullins
and
Michael
Mullins;
brother,
Charles
H.
Tincher;
sister-in-law,
Mary
Ruth
Collier
and
husband
Bob;
several
nieces,
nephews
and
a
host
of other relatives and friends.
Funeral
services
for
Vella
Mullins
will
be
conducted
at
7:00
P.M.
Tuesday,
February
18,
2025
at
the
Sturgill
Funeral
Home
Chapel
in
Wise,
VA
with
Rev.
Jeff
Sams
officiating.
The
family
will
receive
friends
from
5:30
P.M.
till
time
of
services
at
7:00
P.M.
Tuesday
at
the
Sturgill
Funeral
Home
in
Wise,
VA.
Graveside
committal
services
and
burial
will
be
held
at
12
noon
Wednesday,
February
19,
2025
at
the
Powell
Valley
Memorial
Gardens
in
Big
Stone
Gap,
VA.
Family
and
friends
will
meet
at
11:10
A.M.
Wednesday
at
the
funeral
home
to
go
to
the
cemetery
in
procession.
